Employee Retention Tactics That Work

Description:

Managers and human resources professionals occupy a critical position of responsibility for developing strategies to retain good employees and reduce costs. Participants will learn about factors related to the high cost of turnover, review key elements in a retention tool kit, learn the importance of conducting retention assessments and examine the role that supervisors play in employee retention.

Key Learning Objectives:

  • Examine elements critical to decreasing employee turnover
  • Explore the key role supervisors play in retention efforts
  • Develop the ability to use various assessments to aid in employee retention efforts

This course may be taken independently or applied toward a 10-course certificate in Human Resources Management or Supervisory Management offered through Extended Studies.
